Task Force on
Policy Development and Revision

The Task Force on Policy Development and Revision was charged with establishing policies and procedures that support all faculty members and staff in their efforts to balance work and family responsibilities. This committee will also assessed ways to recruit and retain a diverse faculty and staff for The University of Montana-Missoula. As larger numbers of women and under-represented minorities prepare for and enter academe, work by the Task Force will position the University to be welcoming to new faculty and to help facilitate their career success.  The Task Force submitted proposals for new policies and procedures and suggestions for new university programs to the University President in December of 2006.

The Task Force is building on the work of the PACE Campus-Wide Policy Committee, which conducted research and produced drafts of family-friendly policies.
