Anne Sylvester, Ph.D.

Associate Professor, Department of Botany
The University of Wyoming

Dr. Anne Sylvester investigates genetic and cellular control of development in grasses. Her lab is currently funded to conduct research on two projects. The first project uses genetics and cell biology to understand how cell division and cell expansion are regulated during maize leaf development. The second applied research project compares the flowering habits of three related but physiologically different grasses - maize, rice and Kentucky bluegrass.
